Csongor Biás

Csongor is the Managing Director of Startup Hungary, a new initiative to supercharge the local startup community. He previously started 2 coworking spaces and worked for VCs and accelerators as well as helping to open Vacuumlabs’ operations in Budapest as the Country Manager.

Réka Bittera (co-founder, Briefly)

Réka is the co-founder of Briefly, the startup ready to shape the future of remote work.
Réka started her career at Uber Budapest and continued in the advertising industry. She is a proud feminist leader with big ambitions. Now Réka’s ultimate love project is to make Briefly the coolest brand among freelancers globally.

 

Peter Klekner (Manager, Kifli.hu)

Peter Klekner is result-oriented, highly experienced leader for whom customer satisfaction is key priority. Due to his data-driven and meanwhile customer-centric management principles, the Rohlik Group entrusted him to the managing position of Kifli.hu in April 2021.

Thanks to his many years of experience as the director of Wildberries and L’Oreal, he effectively contributes to the dynamic development of Kifli.hu. Peter is also familiar with the Hungarian market, due to his time as the Managing and Commercial Director of Phlilips Hungary between 2016 and 2018.

Balazs Polyak (Industry Manager, Google)

Balazs has been with Google since 2011, advising companies on digital transformation, export strategy and profitability. He is currently an Industry Manager for Lead Gen advertisers and technology startups originating from CEE. As an avid local patriot, his main goal is to make Hungarian companies recognized and loved all around the globe.

 

Tamás Sajó (Country Manager, Shoptet)

Tamás joined Shoptet in the spring of 2020 when the preparation for expansion had started to help launching and introducing our solution and services in Hungary. His main goal is to help both experienced webshop owners and newbies in e-commerce to grow with Shoptet and encourage them to go beyond the borders and sell internationally. He would like to build tight cooperation with the local service providers and take Shoptet into the Hungarian e-commerce ecosystem. During his career he has always worked with international companies focusing on expansion and growth. With Shoptet He can merge his e-commerce background (Visual-Meta/Shopalike) with international business development.

Andrea Kozma (Founder and Director, CEU InnovationsLab)

Dr. Kozma is the Founder and Director of the CEU InnovationsLab. CEU InnovationsLab is the Business incubator of the Central European University which helps teams to develop and commercialize innovative new solutions. 

Prior to joining CEU in 2016 Dr. Kozma worked as a corporate and media lawyer at global law firms, as well as General counsel at various global media companies in Hungary and in London, UK.

As a Director of the CEU iLab Kozma created a method to generate, screen, co-develop projects for incubation. She designed and developed entrepreneurship curriculum jointly with various CEU Departments – including for example LLM Clinic with Legal Studies – as well as coaching methods and a mentor network to support the incubation program.  She designed and built the program from its launch and CEU iLab became the best incubation program in 2017 in Hungary within 18 months of its operation.  iLab has so far incubated more than 70 projects, it currently incubates 25 teams with projects from various industries including FinTech, EduTech, Marketing, Food, Health and others. iLab grows in size year on year, iLab teams generated more than EUR 8 million funding for their projects, and many of the projects are leading examples within their respective industries.  iLab teams regularly feature in Hungarian and international business press, including Forbes Hungary and US. Kozma is a lecturer at CEU’s various Master programs teaching Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Kozma is currently pursuing her PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, her research area is early stage venture development.

Ivan Ivanka (Founder, Institute Hungary)

Prior to launching his consulting firm, Ivan had been working in sales/marketing leader and other business executive positions in Canada, the US, the UK, and Hungary at companies of all sizes from micro-businesses to multinational Fortune 5000 companies. After he managed multiple small and medium-sized enterprises to capture international markets while running his own businesses, he moved back to Hungary and now specifically helps CEE companies and startups to grow and expand. He actively takes part in conferences, both on speaker and attendee side, along with holding numerous sales, marketing, and leadership trainings. He is a superstar participant in the CEE innovation ecosystem, he has been mentoring and judging a lot of Hungarian and European startup competitions, and he is also the founding member of Founder Institute Hungary.

Georgo Gulyás (Managing Director, Startup Campus London)

Gergo is a Hungarian born Londoner since 2012 with an extensive network of investors, accelerators, governmental bodies and startups. He completed his studies in London and graduated with a first in Management and Accounting with Finance and a CFA scholarship, that gave the theoretical foundations of his professional career.

Before he was headhunted to run Startup Campus London, he formerly worked in private asset management for a high net worth individual where he could gain significant working experience in accounting and investment management.
His main goal is to make Startup Campus London  a “one stop shop”  for startups from the CEE region when it comes to their UK expansion and to help talented individuals to reach their potential in the British capital and beyond. He runs programmes that help startups to integrate into the British ecosystem by deepening their understanding about the British way of doing business and by connecting them to local partners and investors.

Marton Medveczky (Investor covering CEE, Flashpoint Venture Capital)

Marton brings plenty of dealmaking and finance knowledge to the table coupled with a sales spirit that helps to put the foot in the door when it matters. As a VC Marton invested and worked with companies that raised $100m+. He is Head of Equity Research at Equilor Brokerage, Head of Sales Hungary at Docplanner and International M&A for KPMG.
